KEITH A. ROBERTS practices primarily in the areas of corporate law, real estate, municipal finance and commercial transactions. He advises for-profit, non-profit and municipal entities in governance and day-to-day business matters and in all manner of contracts and commercial transactions including business formation, financing, services, leasing and purchase and sale transactions. Keith has been selected for inclusion in Best Lawyers in the field of corporate law, real estate law and municipal law and is recognized as one of the top corporate/commercial lawyers in Vermont by The Chambers USA Guide. He was named as a New England Super Lawyers – Rising Star in 2010 and 2011 before getting too old for that category. He is also an approved local bond counsel by the Vermont Bond Bank.
Keith served as a law clerk to the Honorable Nathaniel M. Gorton, U.S. District Judge, District of Massachusetts before starting his private practice career at Ropes & Gray in Boston. After several years there, he joined what was Eggleston & Cramer in Burlington and remained with that firm through its expansion and name change to Primmer Piper Eggleston & Cramer for fifteen years. He had a brief stint with another prominent Burlington firm before joining Darby Kolter & Roberts in late 2020.
Keith holds a B.A. from Williams College and a J.D., cum laude, from Boston University School of Law, where he served as an Articles Editor of the Boston University Law Review. He is admitted to practice in Vermont, New Hampshire and Massachusetts.
Keith is a devoted husband and father who lives in Hinesburg with his wife and the youngest two of his three children as the oldest one attends the University of Michigan. Outside of work, if you can’t find him on the golf course or skiing, you can often find him on the sideline of a soccer or field hockey field watching his daughters.
