Douglas M. Brines has a general civil practice with a focus on real estate transactions, employment law, and general civil litigation. Doug has a degree in News/Editing from the University of Colorado at Boulder (B.S., 2002), graduated as a member of the Class of 2011 from Vermont Law School, and is a member of the Vermont Bar Association. His prior experience includes work with the (Jerry) Spence Law Firm in Jackson Hole, Wyoming, the Medicaid Fraud and Residential Abuse Unit of the Vermont Attorney General’s Office, and Disability Rights Vermont, a nonprofit organization funded by the federal government to protect the rights of individuals with disabilities and mental illness. In his free time, Doug enjoys time on the water, hunting, and skiing. He is a member of the Board of Directors and serves as Secretary for the Charlotte Children’s Center. Doug grew up in Waitsfield and now lives in East Charlotte with his wife and two young children.
